First stage was enclosing the thermal chimney, this year i opted for black metal screening, but it was not absorbing a lot of heat, so i switched to flat black soffit material with little air slots, those will allow small amounts of air to pass through and heat up the air mass, but more volume of air is needed so i left the upper end of the absorber open so the air under the absorber can rise along the back and emerge at top, now i can run a fan at night or on windy days when the natural ventilation gets interfered by downdrafts off the roof.

Solar dryer project, first stage, install absorber inside thermal chimney and insall glazing
